Join New Mexico Wild and Journey Santa Fe at Collected Works Bookstore & Coffeehouse on Sunday, May 26 at 11am. Author, artist, and New Mexico Wild staffer Lois Manno will talk about her award-winning book, Visions Underground: Carlsbad Caverns Through the Artist’s Eye. As a caver for nearly 30 years, Lois has volunteered hundreds of hours to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. She will show highlights from her book, which describes the history of the park as interpreted by photographers and other artists who have been inspired by Carlsbad Caverns from 1900 until today. Ansel Adams, Will Shuster, and other luminaries practiced their art at the cave, and were deeply affected by their time underground. This event is free and open to the public.
